Intensive ESL - Grades K-11

Our intensive, one-on-one ESL tutoring is a proven, Bellevue School District-recognized program designed to give individual students the knowledge needed to pass district ESL exams and enter mainstream classes. Because ESL students may excel in one language area but need extra development in another, our aim is to bring balance to the student’s development in reading, writing, speaking and listening.

Our Intensive ESL program focuses on expanding the student’s functional vocabulary by using curricula including vocabulary for everyday conversation alongside vocabulary suitable to the student’s academic level.

Each student will strengthen his or her reading skills by completing a number of books appropriate for his or her level (based on a Star reading level test) that have been selected especially for the student by the tutor. Students will learn to read closely and think with the depth required for success in mainstream classes.

Students will also be exposed to the various types of essays and assignments they will be required to write in their academic classes, and will learn to write effectively, correctly and insightfully.

Star Reading Level Test (컴퓨터 테스트, 10분)에 근거하여 커리큐럼(교과 과정) 이 짜여지며 Reading, Vocabulary, Writing and Grammar 의 모든 영역을 포함합니다. 커리큐럼은 ESL 수업 과정을 조기에 패스하고 일반영어 클래스 (Regular English Class) 를 따라 갈 수 있도록 구성되어 있습니다.
