BLC Summer Programs

BLC Summer Group Enrichment - Grades K through 8

This program is intended to strengthen each student’s overall academic development by finding and addressing any weaknesses the student may have in the English or Math subject areas. Unlike other learning centers, BLC groups students by ability rather than by grade. This allows students to work at a pace appropriate to their individual needs, rather than at a pace dictated by age.

In this fun, small-group environment, our students will strengthen skills from the past academic year, and will build proficiency in English and math for coming semester. Students who participate in our Summer Enrichment program have a head start, and begin the academic year with confidence and readiness for success.

학교 성적과 테스트의 기본이 되는 English reading and writing , Math 를 집중적으로 지도합니다. 레벨 테스트를 통해서 반 편성이 되며 한반 소그룹으로 담임 교사의 개별적인 지도가 이루어 집니다. 매년 100 명 이상의 학생이 등록하여 16개 반이 편성되는 본 프로그램은 학부모님들의 좋은 평판을 받아왔습니다. Vocabulary book, composition book, reading book, 등 교재 제공.

BLC Summer Group SAT I Preparation - Grades 9 through 11

This concentrated course focuses on expanding the student’s capability to read critically, write effectively and solve problems correctly in order not only to prepare our students for competitive performance on the SAT I, but also to build a foundation for life-long academic success.

Because memorization of vocabulary is not enough to ensure top scores in the English sections of the SAT I, we train our students in high-level grammar, essay composition, reading strategy, literary analysis and comprehension in addition to a review of basic skills.

The math portion of the SAT I preparation course covers algebra I, algebra II and geometry fundamentals to ensure our students have a firm grounding in the basic math skills necessary to achieve a high score on the math component of the SAT I and to prepare them for the demands of advanced math courses that await them in college.

여름 방학을 이용한 집중 SAT I 준비과정으로 일주일 5일 동안 매일 5 시간씩 실전 문제 풀이와 단어 공부, 작문, 독해 테크닉에 집중합니다. PSAT와 SAT를 준비하는 학생들에게 최적의 시기로 충분한 시간으로 300 점 이상 점수를 향상시킬 수 있는 기회입니다. 철저한 숙제관리와 시험 관리로 효과적인 SAT 시험 준비 과정이 됩니다.

BLC Summer Intensive ESL - Grades 2 through 8

We believe reading and writing skills are the basis for academic achievement. If a student has a strong grounding in reading critically and writing correctly, he or she will be prepared for success in all subjects. For this reason, BLC’s Summer Program focuses intensively on giving our students an excellent foundation in these core areas.

Students who attend our Intensive ESL program typically improve by two to three skill levels by the end of the session. Our high-intensity classes focus not merely on your child’s speaking ability, but prepare him or her for academic success through rigorous training in the core subjects of reading comprehension and writing. Fun field trips to a variety of cultural activities will expand your child’s horizons, and small class sizes encourage his or her participation and personal growth.

조기 유학생, 갓 이민 온 학생, 혹은 1-2년 단기 유학생들이 ESL을 패스하고 일반 클래스를 들을 수 있도록 지도합니다. 한국 학생들에게 부족한 writing, speaking 을 중심으로 듣기, 독해와 이야 기 재구성, 기본 단어 실력등을 키워 학교 수업을 따라가는데 부족함이 없도록 지도합니다. 벨뷰 교육구가 인정한 커리큘럼입니다. 한 반 5명 소그룹으로 짜임새있게 지도합니다.
